Job Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform & Analytics Engineer to support enterprise data initiatives for Carnival Corporation. This role will be responsible for architecting, building, and maintaining a scalable Snowflake-based data platform that powers analytics, governance, and AI/ML initiatives across the organization.
The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in cloud data engineering, Snowflake architecture, ELT/ETL development, Master Data Management (MDM), and enterprise data governance. This is a hands-on technical role focused on delivering trusted, scalable, and AI-ready data solutions.
Key ResponsibilitiesSnowflake Data Platform Engineering Design, develop, and maintain scalable Snowflake architecture across RAW, MDM, and Curated layers
Implement architectural best practices including naming standards, access controls, and performance optimization
Manage Snowflake warehouses, roles, environments, and resource monitors for reliability and cost efficiency
Create and maintain technical architecture documentation and scalability standards
Data Pipeline & Integration Engineering Build and maintain enterprise ELT/ETL pipelines integrating multiple corporate source systems into Snowflake
Lead onboarding of new data sources including schema design, transformation logic, and validation processes
Develop API-based and file-based ingestion frameworks
Manage pipeline scheduling, monitoring, incident response, and operational reliability
Master Data Management (MDM) Implement enterprise MDM solutions to establish trusted golden records across business domains
Design entity models, matching rules, survivorship logic, and deduplication workflows
Maintain data lineage from source systems through MDM and curated layers
Collaborate with business stakeholders and data stewards to enforce data quality standards
Data Governance & Quality Implement enterprise governance frameworks and standards
Apply classification, tagging, masking, lineage tracking, and access controls across the platform
Maintain data catalogs, metadata repositories, and governance documentation
Develop dbt models, tests, and documentation to enforce quality and consistency
AI & Analytics Data Readiness Build curated, AI-ready datasets optimized for machine learning and advanced analytics workloads
Define export and consumption patterns for AI/ML teams
Partner with AI/ML Engineers on schema design, feature-ready structures, and data contracts
Ensure data freshness, completeness, and quality for downstream AI applications
Platform Operations & Observability Implement monitoring and observability solutions for pipeline health and anomaly detection
Optimize Snowflake performance, warehouse sizing, and query efficiency
Maintain operational documentation, runbooks, and support procedures
Required QualificationsEducation Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field
Equivalent hands-on experience will also be considered
Experience 6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or related disciplines
Proven experience building production-grade cloud data platforms and enterprise data pipelines
Hands-on experience with MDM platforms and enterprise data governance implementations
Experience supporting large enterprise environments preferred
Required Skills Strong expertise in Snowflake architecture, administration, and performance tuning
Advanced experience with dbt for transformations, testing, and documentation
Strong understanding of ELT/ETL architecture and orchestration best practices
Experience with AWS S3 and cloud-based storage/export frameworks
Strong MDM expertise including entity modeling, deduplication, golden record management, and survivorship logic
Experience implementing governance solutions including lineage, cataloging, classification, and access controls
Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation and pipeline development
Strong architectural mindset with focus on scalability, reliability, and governance
Preferred Qualifications Experience with Informatica MDM
Experience with Snowflake Horizon Data Governance or Informatica Data Governance
Familiarity with Snowflake AI capabilities and AI/ML data preparation workflows
Snowflake and/or dbt certifications preferred
Work Environment Onsite office environment in Miami, FL
Ability to work extended hours or weekends when required for project delivery and operational support
Must be comfortable working at a computer workstation for extended periods
