Job Description:
We are looking for a talented Software Engineer with strong experience in Accessibility (Keyboard/VoiceOver), Accessibility Testing, and Front-End Development (HTML/CSS/JavaScript) to join our onsite team in Austin, Texas.
This role focuses on building accessible and inclusive web experiences, ensuring compliance with Apple’s accessibility standards, and collaborating with IS&T internal groups to deliver high-quality software solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and enhance front-end web applications using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with a focus on accessibility.
Implement accessibility features and best practices (Keyboard navigation, VoiceOver, screen reader compatibility, etc.).
Perform Accessibility Testing and fix issues identified through audits and validation tools.
Work closely with Apple’s internal teams to ensure compliance with WCAG 2.1 and Apple accessibility guidelines.
Prepare and maintain all Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) artifacts and documentation.
Participate in design and code reviews to ensure accessibility standards are met.
