Role: Senior Backend Developer
Bill Rate: $77/hour C2C
Location: San Diego, CA

Direct Client Requirement
Key Responsibilities:Ensure application security, performance, and scalability within regulated environments (HIPAA, FedRAMP High).
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across the application stack.
Collaborate within an Agile development process, including sprint planning and code reviews.
Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and Git-based workflows.
Develop and automate cloud infrastructure using Terraform and/or AWS CDK.
Design, build, and operationalize data and ML pipelines using AWS Glue, Step Functions, Lambda, EMR, and SageMaker.
Write robust AWS Glue ETL jobs (Python/PySpark) with exception handling, logging, and CloudWatch monitoring.
Implement monitoring and dashboards in CloudWatch for ETL processes, data pipelines, and ML endpoints.
Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, DynamoDB, and data lake technologies.
Apply security best practices including IAM least privilege, encryption, and secrets management.
Contribute to architecture documentation, runbooks, and design reviews.
Required Qualifications:Strong experience with Linux environments.
Expert-level Python skills; knowledge of C++ and Go preferred.
Experience with Django.
Strong proficiency in AWS or Azure (experience in both is preferred; ability to learn the other quickly is required).
Experience deploying and managing containerized applications (ECS strongly preferred; Kubernetes a plus).
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of post-education professional experience (work-study does not apply).
AWS and/or Azure Professional-level certifications strongly preferred.
