USCIS Unveils Information on FY26 H-1B Cap and Improvements to the Electronic Registration System:
The U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has announced the details regarding the H1B registration for the fiscal year 2026 (FY26). According to the announcement, the registration window will open at noon Eastern Time (ET) on March 7, 2025, and will close at noon ET on March 24, 2025.
Overview of the Registration Process
Employers and their representatives must utilize a my USCIS online account to submit a registration, along with the required fee of $215. Additional information on how to create an account can be found on the USCIS website.
Those whose registrations are selected during the initial registration phase will receive notifications by March 31, 2025. If selected, the employer will have a 90-day period to file the corresponding H1B petition. The USCIS has also introduced several enhancements to the accounts for legal representatives to facilitate the online submission of H1B petitions.
