Nvidia Reports Record-Breaking Quarter Fueled by Data Center and AI Growth

Nvidia posted a strong third quarter, reporting $57 billion in revenue, a 62% jump from the same period last year. GAAP net income reached $32 billion, up 65% year-over-year, with both revenue and profit surpassing Wall Street expectation. The company’s growth continues to be driven primarily by its data center segment, which delivered a record $51.2 billion in revenue—25% higher than the previous quarter and 66% higher than a year ago. The remaining $5.8 billion came from its other businesses, including $4.2 billion from gaming, with additional contributions from professional visualization and automotive.

CFO Colette Kress told shareholders that the data center momentum is being powered by rapid advances in computing, increasingly capable AI models, and the rising demand for agentic applications. She added that Nvidia announced AI factory and infrastructure projects totaling about 5 million GPUs during the quarter.“This demand spans every market—CSPs, sovereigns, modern builders, enterprises, and supercomputing centers—and includes multiple landmark buildouts,” Kress said.

The Blackwell Ultra GPU, introduced in March and available in multiple configurations, has emerged as a standout performer and now leads Nvidia’s product lineup. The company also continues to see strong demand for earlier Blackwell architecture models.

CEO Jensen Huang summed up the quarter by saying that sales of the company’s Blackwell GPU chips are “off the charts.”
