Kandi Srinivasa Reddy: What are welfare initiatives in underprivileged communities?

Welfare initiatives in underprivileged communities:

Kandi Srinivasa Reddy extended his best wishes for good governance to the attendees. He contrasted the current Modi administration's pricing of gas cylinders at 1,200 rupees, which he claimed burdens the poor, with the Congress government's provision of cylinders at just 500 rupees. He highlighted various welfare initiatives, including free bus travel for women, free electricity for the first 200 units, a loan waiver of up to 200,000 rupees, and health insurance coverage of 1 million rupees. He noted that 55,000 jobs have been created, with 11,000 teachers recruited through the DSC process.

As the Congress administration in the state marks the completion of its first year, the government has announced the organization of Prajapalana Vijayotsavas, which will take place over a span of 26 days, starting today and concluding on December 9. In this context, Kandi Srinivasa Reddy, the Congress Party Assembly In-charge for Adilabad, led the Prajapalana Samvatpara Sambhava event in KRK Colony, Adilabad town. Upon his arrival, he was warmly received by local leaders, party activists, and residents. During the event, he conducted a roadshow, engaging with the community from atop a vehicle.

He urged the community to support the ambitious household survey, a first for any government, emphasizing its importance for future planning. Kandi Srinivasa Reddy also announced the forthcoming Indiramma Houses Program, which aims to provide housing for all underprivileged individuals lacking homes. He assured that new ration cards would be issued to all eligible citizens following the survey's completion. Subsequently, he visited local shops to discuss the advancements made by government schemes and the initiatives undertaken in the past month and a half. The event was attended by prominent Congress figures, including Gimma Santosh, Loka Praveen Reddy, former Municipal Vice Chairman Zaheer Ramjani, and several others.
